However you experience anxiety, we can work on calming your thoughts, guide you away from your mind and into your body, provide soothing techniques , look at old beliefs that might be exasperating it, and elicit your own resources.  The origin of your anxiety is important to discover and we will do that in a way that doesn't overwhelm but best suits you.

Anxiety:
Normative anxiety helps to generate your resources and move us forward in our day to day living.  It is a healthy response to living.  Disruptive anxiety throws us off balance, induces fear, obsessive thoughts, worry, disturbed sleep and unpredictable restlessness.

Panic: How it shows up. How we treat it! --------- Panic requires soothing, attention to its origin and immediate self care.  I can show you how..

Panic is anxiety which erupts sponteniously and uninvited in both physical sensations and emotional distress. Some physical sensations are rapid heart beat, sweating, dizziness, feeling flushed and overheated  and mild  trembling. Existential panic elicits feelings of unsafety, emotional and cognitive distortions and in its  most uncomfortable state feels,  like you are momentarily "losing your mind" or self control.  Intense panic and anxiety can be born out of trauma that is seeping through your defenses--a secret your are holding, an early  or current experience of abuse, a violation, an incident, and can also be traced to a developmental trauma that occured once,  at birth  or into early childhood thru adolescense.  Less painful panic happens for people when driving crossing a bridge, leaving a safe place or transitions. Trauma and panic are also linked to early attachment. Think about it like this, if you take a two-year old abruptly from his care giver, they often react  strongly with a urgency and loud cries, seeking reassurence.  It requires soothing!!
